Though Indian hand loom and handicrafts are appreciated around the globe, the artisan’s craftsmanship does not receive much appreciation. “The expo with around 35 stalls. Is an attempt at developing, promoting and helping weavers market their products to customers without middlemen”.
The show displays saree, dupatta and salwar materials also. It also showcases different fashions and patterns. The main attraction of the exhibition is ‘patta chitra’ (painting on palm leaf) which is made of turmeric, flower juice, essence from neem leaf and stone powder , which is from Orissa.
