Kochi to house Start Up Village

The country's first private public partnership incubilator,called Start Up Village will be set up in Kochi.Start up Village is being set up by the National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship evelopment Board under Department of Science and Technology in join with MobMe Wireless, ap rivate firm which began as a student start up.With in 10 years many start up villages are start from colleges in Kochi and other parts of India.

Technical Fest “ Dhishna 2K12" in CUSAT

A technical fete “ Dhishna 2K12 ” organized by the School of Engineering at Cochin University of Science and Technology, one of the Engineering Colleges in Kochi. The educational event starts on March 22nd  and ends in 24th of the month. The students from various colleges will participate in the three day event in Kochi. Some of the competitions that will be conducted as a part of technical festival include mud race, project presentation etc. A  HAM radio workshop and DJ hunt will also be held on the occasion.

Helicopter Tours of Kochi,launched by Joy Alukkas

The Cochin Tourism  at a peak position with Joy Alukkas group .Joy Alukkas will launch its helicopter tour of Kochi, known as the Queen of the Arabian sea. A six-seater Bell helicopter will offer tourists an hour-long aerial tours of Kochi.There are plans to extend the service to Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram .In addition to tourism 'Joy Jet ', the helicopter service would also be utilised for emergency operations.The air charter service - which covered the southern states, Maharashtra and Colombo - was introduced last year. Joy Jets will initially operate a short range direct service to various destinations across India from Kochi International airport. It would procure long range aircraft to offer trips to distant and international destinations.

Portugese Food Festival in Ramada Resort in Kochi

 Portugese Food Festival will be held from 5-25 March 2012 at  Ramada Resorts,Cochin-Ernakulam-Kochi, Kerala, India. Manappuram Miss Queen of India 2012 held in Kochi

The 2nd Manappuram Miss Queen of India 2012 will be held at Hotel Le Meriden, Kochi on March 9. Sixteen contestants from across the country will participate in the event in Kochi. The contestants are Akila Kishore, Aparna Dubey, Ashna Mishra, Bhawna Mahalwal, Janhavee Vichare, Kirti Gupta, Laxmi Anand, Leena Vishwakarma, Nancy Gupta, Neha Sing, Pragyan Pradhan, Priyanka Saha, Sakshi Khorana, Saru Walia, Thinkal Bhai and Vanisree Bhatt.The grooming session will start on March 5 . The three-and-a-half-hour programme, with four sequences and cultural extravaganzas.
