Fashion in Kochi with Reshmy

Reshmy creates magic with her new designs in fashion saris  which has really created uniqueness in  designer sarees.Playback singer Sujatha appears on reality television wearing saris woven from duppattas and munthanis by the unique designs that comes to Reshmys mind.

She has not learned any fashion designing course nor got any training from anyone. She was very much fond of her mothers collection of sarees and those times as a teenager she experimented  something different.She started mixing different clothes and jewelleries.Now she is almost known as a famous fashion designer in kochi.

She started off with a shop selling imitation jewellery. Once she placed a dozen saris that she designed in one corner of her shop and they were all sold out. Celebrities and NRIs have all become her regular customers.

            Now In India shopping is  a culture, it brings lots of culture here and we have been sharing our culture too.In Kerala it’s a time for monsoon shopping,  as a part it, shopping in kochi conducts Rajasthan Cotton Fab 2012 exhibition-cum-sale at women’s  Association Hall. Here one can see the intermingling of cultures of various States on Fabric. This exhibits offer a different idea to our shopping culture
        Though Indian hand loom and handicrafts are appreciated around the globe, the artisan’s craftsmanship does not receive much appreciation. “The expo with around 35 stalls. Is an attempt at developing, promoting and helping weavers market their products to customers without middlemen”.
            The show displays saree, dupatta and salwar materials also. It also showcases different fashions and patterns. The main attraction of the exhibition is ‘patta chitra’ (painting on palm leaf) which is made of turmeric, flower juice, essence from neem leaf and stone powder , which is from Orissa.
These kinds of exhibition help those people who are behind of every craft and art works in fabrics. And also improves our fashion concept and give awareness about different culture and people. The Expo will conclude on June10

Kochi to host global meet of Builders

The 40th convention of the International Federation of Asian and Westrn Pacific Contractors Association would be held in Kochi from January 6 to 9, 2013.  This is the third time that an Indian City is hosting the event. This is the meeting of builders and contractors associations from 16 countries.There will be an exhibition of modern construction equipment. Mathrubhumi organising an Edupath 2012 for guidance youth for higher education opportunities .The Edupath 21012 is starts in Thiruvanathapuram in May 3 ,2012 and this programme conducted in various districts of kerala. In Kochi Edupath 2012 is at Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium  on 26 and 27 May 2011 starting from 9.00 am onwards catering to the needs of career guidance for the youth.
